CASE FILE NR-GR-006: STICKY BLOOM

Plane of Association: Germinal

Zone of Origin: Candy Grove (Subsoil Pocket)

Last Known Location: Sealed crawlspace outside Sugarroot Drainway 3

Containment Status: Confined (Reluctantly)

Known Behaviors

Sticky Bloom is a small, soft-bodied anomaly coated in layers of crystallized sugar and volatile sap. Its core is squishy, warm, and emits a faint floral scent. Though visually cute — with big eyes and slow, floppy movements — it has been documented latching onto personnel with incredible grip strength. Once contact is made, subject becomes aggressively possessive, displaying defensive behaviors until forcibly removed (usually via heating tools or bribery with honey-based candy). It has displayed signs of affection, but also chewed through one researcher’s boot during a “hug.”

Field Notes

  • — Subject burrowed into a laundry unit, where it fused with six socks and a Bureau-issued belt.
  • — Reacts strongly to sugary snacks, especially marshmallow-based compounds. Subject will screech if denied.
  • — “It clung to me like it loved me. Then it bit through my badge and ran.” — Agent Lyle, Glucose Incident Report #17
